"Cold Comfort was commissioned by the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources, from whic poster was created to promote our cold water streams. As part of the research process, I went to a nearby river to snorkle and gather reference. Because of the timing of project, I had to do this in February, and was fortunate to find a stretch of river that was not frozen. I had a great deal of freedom in composing this piece, and even added some personal elements to it; my daughter Andie and good friend Don."
